The Sleeping Star is an original single-player exploration game inside Brasswood, Saeed Ezzati's illustrated portfolio. Its keeper, botanist, and shopkeeper are fictional characters in the adventure. The software projects represented by the village shops are real.
How to play
- Open the keeper's letter in the village to begin. Collect useful objects by inspecting the gold-marked scene details.
- Open the satchel to inspect an item, combine it with another, or use it in the scene. You can also inspect an object first and choose a tool from your satchel.
- Read collected clues in the notebook. Relevant notes are also available on puzzle pages. Wrong attempts never destroy items.
- The story has three connected chapters, twelve puzzles, and three hidden places. There is no timer or penalty for taking your time.
Phone, mouse, and keyboard controls
Tap or click objects and puzzle controls. On phones, drag the scene with one finger and pinch to zoom. The Fit button fills the view with artwork; drag to explore beyond the edges. Open the satchel with I or B, the story notebook with J, and Places with M. Tab and Enter work with objects and controls. Escape closes a panel.
Clues and optional hints
Each puzzle offers three increasingly specific hints, including an explicit solution when requested. The notebook can offer a direction if you lose the thread. Essential information is available as text; audio and color recognition are not required. Motion and sound can be changed in Places, under Sound & motion.
Your saved journey
Items, clues, partial puzzle arrangements, notes, and opened paths save automatically in this browser. The story notebook lets you download a backup and load it in another browser. Saves do not sync automatically between devices. Clearing site data removes the local save.
The game is free. There is no account, purchase, external signup, or required arcade high score. The portfolio and product links stay accessible throughout the story.
